The LPN is responsible for delivering direct nursing services to consumers living in agency homes in the Nashville and or Murfreesboro Developmental Disabilities Services program. Responsible for coordination with other medical professionals as needed and any and all medical oversight as required to fully meet the medical needs of the service recipients in accordance with State of Tennessee guidelines.

The position requires the employee to be currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the State of Tennessee and experience equivalent to one year of nursing, nursing experience for individuals who have Developmental Disabilities and/or Mental Health concerns is desirable. Knowledge of the guidelines established by the state of Tennessee for community support programs for individuals with Developmental Disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities include monitoring the consumers' safety as it pertains to medical care and medication administration, conducting medication administration training as needed, making home visits when requested, reviewing clients' medical status on a regular basis, completing paperwork as required for training and home visits, interacting with consumers in supportive, therapeutic ways, aiding in meeting the terms of the consumers' ISPs, assisting in ensuring medical files are current and accurate, turning in required paperwork in a timely manner, attending training as needed, assisting in supervising LPN on staff, completing PSR's on clients in timely manner, and other job duties as assigned by Program Director.
