Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Location:
Nashville, Tennessee
Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Job Description:
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care to laboring patients, manage the immediate post-delivery care of newborns, and assist in circulating and recovering cesarean section patients. This role requires collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for mothers and infants.
- Assess and monitor laboring patients
- Provide care and support during vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
- Administer and manage epidural anesthesia
- Perform related procedures including D&C, cerclage, and tub labor
- Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner using CPN and Meditach
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Current RN licensure in the applicable state
- Mandatory certifications: AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced), CEFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP
