** Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse..

**** We are seeking compassionate, patient-focused Care Partners (Nursing Assistants) who are comfortable providing hands-on care and supporting clinical procedures, including venipuncture/blood draws, Foley catheter care, specimen collection, and other bedside patient care responsibilities.

** About the Department:
** Join the brand-new Acute Surgical Care Stepdown unit coming to 10N, a 31-bed stepdown unit offering a unique opportunity to help build a new team from the ground up. Nurses will provide a stepdown level of care to adult patients either awaiting surgery or recovering post-operatively. The unit features a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere.
** Patient Population Includes**:
• Emergency General Surgery (EGS) Patients
• Pre- and Post-Operative Surgical Patients
• Trauma and Med-Surg Overflow

Schedule:

*** Full-Time Night Shift - 6:45 pm - 7:15 am (three 12-hour shifts/week)
* Shifts rotate throughout the week

Set schedules are not available.  Schedules are determined by unit clinical staffing needs.***
* *** All Employees (Night shift & PRN included) are required to attend hospital orientation during regular daytime hours during the first week of employment.
***** What You Need to Qualify:
**** Required**:
* High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
*** AND* one of the following:
*** Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (
** including nursing fundamentals clinical**), or
* Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of
** completion required**), or
* Minimum of one year of recent experience (
** within the past two years**) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician.
** Preferred:
*** One year of previous experience in a hospital setting
