Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provides specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. This role requires collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor laboring patients to identify progress and complications.
• Administer medications, including epidurals and other pain management therapies.
• Perform procedures such as vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&Cs, cerclage, and epidural anesthesia.
• Support and educate patients and their families throughout the labor and delivery process.
• Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditach systems.
• Respond to emergency situations promptly, adhering to protocols and policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
• Hold current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM.
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for laboring patients and immediate newborn care.
• Ability to perform and assist with various procedures such as epidurals, c-sections, and cerclage.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills.
