Title:

Clinical Care LVN/LPN Float (Contract) – Outpatient Clinic

Pay rate: $37.17 an hr

Location:

Nashville, TN (On-site) — may float to nearby locations

Schedule:

32–40 hrs/week, includes every other weekend + some holidays (shifts are typically 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours)

Job Overview

We’re hiring an LVN/LPN Clinical Care Float for a busy, patient-facing outpatient clinic setting in Nashville, TN. This is a full-time contingent/contract role with a variable schedule and the potential to float to nearby clinics based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer oral, injectable, IV, and topical medications (as permitted by scope)
  • Perform routine patient assessments; monitor vitals and document findings
  • Support point-of-care testing, vaccine administration, and phlebotomy
  • Document patient history, medications, allergies, and treatment plans in the EMR
  • Conduct medication reviews for potential interactions/side effects
  • Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked clinical environment
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff
Required Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted LVN/LPN license in good standing (no current or prior disciplinary actions)
  • BLS certification (must remain valid through at least 30+ days past expected start)
  • 1+ year of related healthcare experience
  • Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings
  • Comfortable with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes every other weekend, holidays, and 32–40 hours/week
  • Willingness to float to nearby locations as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong experience with phlebotomy, immunizations/vaccines, and point-of-care testing
Contract Notes

This is a temporary/contract role; permanent conversion may be possible but is not guaranteed. Initial schedules are typically built in 6-week blocks following training/orientation.
