Registered Nurse - Renal Dialysis

Role Overview: Responsible for managing specialized Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) therapies and providing expert acute med-surg and post-operative care.

• Perform manual or automated PD exchanges, maintaining sterile technique and assessing catheter sites to prevent infections.
• Conduct clinical assessments, manage pain and surgical wounds, and monitor fluid and electrolyte balance to support recovery.
• Implement physician orders accurately, administer medications, and monitor patient conditions for timely interventions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with nephrologists, surgeons, dietitians, and discharge planners to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal renal health.
• Educate patients and caregivers on PD routines, medication management, and post-surgical care to promote independence.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed Registered Nurse credential from the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• BLS Provider certification within one month of hire, accepted from AHA or Red Cross.
• Educational requirement:
  Diploma from an accredited nursing school or equivalent professional licensure.
