Description:
The unit has a total of 12 beds. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2. Staff consists of registered nurses, unit secretaries, and OR technicians. The documentation system utilized is CPN and Meditach. Scheduling requirements include 3 weekend shifts and 1 on-call shift for registered nurses. Travelers will float first before others if needed. Shared decision-making is essential for patient experience. All registered nurses must have the following certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM.
The dress code requires scrubs in Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray. Scrubs are not provided by the facility. The unit performs the following procedures: vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, tub labor. Candidates are encouraged to consider the available new equipment and technology as well as the tenure and experience of the staff when selecting this unit for their assignment.
