- Patient Ratios : 1;2
- Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : RNs, unit secretary, OR techs
- Type of equipment :
- Documentation system: CPN, Meditach
- Scheduling requirements:3 weekend shifts, 1 call shift for RNS, 2 call shifts for techs, 3 12 hour shifts
- Floating policy: travelers float first
- Patient Experience requirements: shared decision making
- Certifications:
For RNs—NRP, ACLS, BLS, must have AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) or CEFM—OR techs must have FA certification.
Labor and Delivery Experience
Must have
: 2 years L&D experience
Advanced skills needed: RNs—Care of the laboring patient, care of the newborn immediately after delivery, circulate and recover c/s patients
Procedures performed on unit: vaginal deliveries, c/sections, d&c, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, tub labor,
Certifications
Required:
AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced), or CEFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP
Dress Code
: (Required uniform)
Scrubs are not provided by hospital. Ceil Blue, Navy Blue or Gray
