Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care for cardiac patients in a telemetry step-down unit. Ensure patient safety and comfort while monitoring and managing cardiac conditions and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition and vital signs regularly to identify changes in cardiac status.
• Administer and manage cardiac drips, medications, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor and interpret EKG readings, responding promptly to abnormalities.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical records system.
• Ensure compliance with unit policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification is mandatory for consideration.
• Minimum of 2 years of cardiology or telemetry nursing experience preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EKG interpretation and cardiac procedures.
• Strong teamwork and customer service-oriented personality.
• Ability to work 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM scheduled shifts, including weekends.
