American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg unit position requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

• Work on a 21-bed General Surgery unit within a hospital setting
• Care for renal medical patients (peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis) as well as general medical patients
• Patient population ranges from young adult to late adult (18 - 60+)
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6
• Variable staffing grid including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns, with the RN assuming full responsibility for patients on their team
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
• 13-week contract assignment
• May be required to float between units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity
• Notification of any float assignment will be provided before the scheduled shift

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• At least 1 year of relevant RN experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Assume full responsibility for assigned patient team, coordinating care with LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns
• Local candidates may be considered, though a radius rule may apply affecting pay rate
