Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Provide high-quality medical-surgical care to patients in a fast-paced hospital setting, ensuring safety, comfort, and effective treatment. Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care and maintain clinical excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and prioritize care based on acuity and needs.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform basic wound care.
• Monitor patient progress using telemetry, pulse oximeters, and other equipment.
• Document accurately in Meditech, including bedside reports and care plans.
• Support patients and families with compassionate communication and education.
• Assist with surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license.
• Provide evidence of BLS certification.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Capable of multitasking and prioritizing in a dynamic environment.
• Skilled in starting IVs, basic wound care, and patient monitoring.
• Knowledge of Meditech documentation system preferred.
