Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse
Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in a high-acuity NICU setting. Ensure the safety and well-being of premature and critically ill newborns through expert clinical interventions and family support.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor medications and treatments to neonatal patients following physician orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Utilize advanced skills to perform procedures such as ventilator management and IV insertions in neonatal patients.
- Document patient care accurately and comprehensively within Meditech and Centricity Perinatal systems.
- Educate and support families of neonatal patients to promote understanding and emotional well-being.
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, unit guidelines, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Proven ability to perform advanced neonatal procedures and utilize relevant equipment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work three 12-hour shifts per week, including rotating weekends and holidays.
- Flexibility to float to comparable high-need units as required.
