Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuro Stepdown
The Neuro Stepdown unit is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients. This position involves working directly with patients in a stepdown setting, utilizing critical thinking and strong nursing skills to manage acute care and neuro conditions.
Unit Information- Number of Beds: 30 (22 Acute Care, 8 Stepdown)
- Patient Ratios: 6:1 on Acute Care, 4:1 on Neuro Stepdown

Description:
1 RN Charge overseeing the entire unit, 1-2 Technicians, and 1 Unit Secretary. - Type of Equipment:
Based on unit specialty, including Vital sign machines, high flow oxygen, e.g., Vapotherm, Bipap, titrating cardiac drips, and various stroke-related equipment. - Documentation System:
Meditech
Weekend shifts are required based on the unit's scheduling needs. Experience nurses may float to other units after orientation, enhancing their versatility in nursing practice.
Required Qualifications- Must possess strong acute care nursing skills and excellent time management abilities.
- Previous experience in a neuro stepdown unit is highly preferred.
- Advanced skills in critical thinking are essential for patient care.
- Required
Certifications:
BLS and ACLS.
- Lumbar puncture
- Chest tube placement
Uniform colors allowed include black, shades of blue or grey, and any color scrubs on Fridays.
