Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts); 2 weekends per 4-week schedule.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate and attentive care to patients in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit. The ideal candidate will be equipped to handle a patient ratio of 6:1 and demonstrate the ability to make personal connections with patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg unit.
- Perform and prioritize nursing procedures, including starting IVs, wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains.
- Provide bedside shift reports and ensure effective communication with patients and families.
- Utilize various medical technologies and equipment as needed, including telemetry and pulse oximetry.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Active RN license in the state of TN.
- BLS certification.
- Experience in Med/Surg nursing.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.
