Travel RN - Home Health

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring prior travel experience and Level III trauma background.

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Level III trauma experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Reliable personal vehicle required

• Home health setting providing intermittent visits to patients in their homes
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Provides nursing assessments, medication management, wound care, disease management, and patient education
• Utilizes equipment including wound vacs, IV pumps, nephrostomy tubes, tracheostomy supplies, PICC line supplies, port access supplies, Foley catheters, feeding tubes, and ostomy care
• Visits typically last 30-45 minutes, with admission visits lasting 1 hour or more
• Does not stay in the home for infusion administration
• Expectation of 6 patient units of productivity per 8-hour day
• Assigned nurses are given defined territories rather than large geographical coverage areas
• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• No weekend or on-call requirements, though weekend work is possible
• Uses Epic EMR
• Conduct home visits including assessments, wound care, medication management, and patient education
• Nurses are assigned specific territories to manage efficient scheduling
• Efficiency and productivity are closely monitored
• Local candidates accepted, though at a lower rate outside the 75-mile radius
• Radius rule of 75 miles applies for standard travel rate eligibility
