About Our ClientAddison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a leading consumer products company expanding their regulatory and compliance function from the UK to the US. This role will be central to supporting product testing and compliance for North American markets.
Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for managing product testing and regulatory compliance for gifting and general consumer product categories. The role serves as the main point of contact for internal teams, suppliers, third-party labs, and retail partners. This is more than QA administration; it requires cross-functional coordination, regulatory expertise, and proactive problem solving.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement product testing plans in collaboration with external labs
- Coordinate product samples and testing requests
- Review lab estimates and testing reports with brand or project managers
- Track testing outcomes and maintain accurate documentation in internal systems
- Escalate and manage corrective actions for products that fail testing
- Support claims substantiation and ensure regulatory documentation is complete
- Monitor emerging legislation and standards relevant to consumer products
- Assist with supplier audits and QA activities as needed
- Collaborate across teams including design, brand, sales, suppliers, and UK compliance leads
- Knowledge of consumer product regulatory requirements (e.g., CPSIA, Prop 65, REACH, food contact safety)
- Experience managing third-party testing and reviewing lab reports
- Understanding product certificates and compliance documentation
- Comfortable coordinating projects across multiple departments and external partners
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other lab or retailer systems
- Recent graduates with a strong foundation in consumer product safety are encouraged to apply
- Experience with paper goods, stationery, kitchenware, glassware, ceramics, or general gifting products is a plus
- Ability to self-prioritize and communicate effectively across teams is essential
