Job Description

As a Construction Materials Laboratory Technician, you play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of construction projects by performing routine laboratory testing under the guidance of experienced technicians and professionals. You will accurately report test results, review the work of junior staff, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure proper function and calibration. Proficiency with electronic reporting software and familiarity with testing requirements are important for success in this role.

Responsibilities

* Perform and document laboratory testing of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt with minimal supervision.

* Accurately report test results to support project quality and client satisfaction.

* Review the work of junior staff to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.

* Maintain testing equipment, perform routine maintenance, and assist with calibrations to ensure accurate and reliable results.

Essential Skills

* Proficiency in soil testing, concrete testing, and laboratory techniques.

* Effective math skills with a strong understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure.

* Effective communication skills in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* High School diploma/GED required; related vocational training is a plus.

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction materials laboratory.

* ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician Level II certification required.

This is a Permanent position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
