Our research group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team. Our research program is focused on intestinal injury response/repair programs with the goal of understanding how epithelial integrity programs are perturbed in the pathogenesis of IBD and more importantly in the progression to malignancy.
Our group has expertise in studying inflammation, signal transduction, and stem cell biology. In addition, we have developed murine and human-derived small intestine, colon, and colorectal cancer organoid culture systems. We can modify gene expression and have established robust techniques for their phenotypic analysis.
The ideal candidate should have a PhD in a related field and a strong background in molecular biology, murine modeling of disease, and organoid/enteroid experience. Experience in subcutaneous and orthotopic modeling of CRC is a plus.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting experiments, analyzing data, and presenting findings at scientific meetings and in peer-reviewed publications. They will also have the opportunity to mentor graduate students and contribute to grant writing.
We offer a dynamic and collaborative research environment and excellent training opportunities, and a competitive salary. If you are a highly motivated and independent individual with a passion for understanding the pathogenesis of IBD and CRC, we encourage you to apply.
