Research Analyst, Research Assistant/Associate
Research Intern (Fall 2026)
Intern will work with the Center for Economic Research in Tennessee (CERT) team and assist with research projects and assignments. These assignments can include, but are not limited to, updating automotive and foreign direct investment (FDI) directories, reviewing and maintaining dashboards and the county profile tool, cleaning company contact lists, assisting with data cleaning, and updating marketing collateral. This internship presents an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in research and data management.
Current enrollment or recent completion in a bachelor's or master's degree program in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, Data Science, or similar.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with data cleaning and database management principles.
Familiarity with SQL, R, STATA, or other data analysis programs and languages
