Postdoctoral fellowship position in the Ormseth Lab at Vanderbilt Health in the Division of Rheumatology & Immunology. Studying how human and microbial microRNAs and other small RNAs in the circulation may contribute to the development of rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus.

Full Description
Project design and execution:
Collaborate with the research team to develop project goals, design and optimize assays, conduct analyses, and present findings.
Wet lab:
Conduct small RNA next generation sequencing, in vitro assays of canonical and non-canonical small RNA function, tissue culture, ELISA, quantitative PCR and animal model studies.
Dry lab:
Incorporate bioinformatics, biostatistics (traditional and machine learning), pathway analysis and novel data display.
Career development:
Participate in institutional career development opportunities, Rheumatology research conferences and weekly Grand Rounds, and seminars for training in manuscript and grant writing.
