As a Host at Von Elrod’s, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests and a key player in managing the flow of service. You’ll oversee reservations, waitlists, and seating while ensuring a welcoming and efficient guest experience.
Requirements- Minimum 1 year of hosting experience in a high‑volume restaurant
- Experience using Toast Tables and comfortable using an iPad throughout the shift
- Experience managing large parties and busy service periods
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Greet guests promptly and professionally
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and large‑party seating using Toast Tables
- Coordinate table flow and server sections with management and service staff
- Handle high guest volume efficiently while maintaining excellent hospitality
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entry area
- Assist guests with questions and special seating needs
- Sell and properly ring in restaurant merchandise using toast POS
$18-$20/hr starting pay range
