"When you work in Hawaii, in addition to learning about the functional aspects of running a hotel — like the proper way to make a bed or how to best handle luggage — it’s critically important to understand Hawaiian culture and the spirit of ‘ohana, or ‘family.’ When opening the first Andaz property in Hawaii, our team participated in Hawaiian culture training to help us understand what ‘ohana truly means.

• Serve guests, take orders, deliver food and drinks in a professional manner and provide exceptional service to your guests.
• Deliver prompt, excellent service to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
• When complete, retrieve order from kitchen, confirm its accuracy, and deliver to guests along with appropriate condiments.
• Handle cash transactions in accordance with the property’s cash handling policy.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings, serviceware and menu items.
• Assist busser with clearing and setting tables.
• Maintain current knowledge of hotel culture, amenities and services, events in the area, points of interest and services in the area.
• All other tasks and duties as assigned.

• At least one year of experience in a restaurant food runner role.
