The hourly rate for this job is $12/hr + $8-$13/hr in tips

Urban Grub is in search of an upbeat, positive Host to be the first friendly face our guests see when they visit our restaurant. The ideal candidate thrives in a busy environment and knows when to kick it into high gear. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you'll be instrumental in ensuring that every guest's experience starts and ends on a high note.

• Warmly greet guests upon their arrival and departure, fostering a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
• Take reservations accurately, managing our booking system efficiently.
• Answer phone calls professionally and assist with guest inquiries.
• Seat guests promptly and thoughtfully, taking into account their preferences and the flow of the restaurant.
• Clean and reset tables quickly and efficiently.
• Cooperate with all team members to ensure a seamless dining experience.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Ability to stay organized, multitask, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated experience in a customer service role is a plus.
• Flexibility to work in various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

The Menu is a combination of southern traditions with a “flavored up tweak,” Fresh fish and seafood, fresh shucked oysters, smoked and grilled meats and vegetables.

What once was a little carwash on the corner of 12th and Gilmore is now a dominating presence in the 12 south District. They could see it but not many could, Jay Pennington from an operational standpoint where Billy Inman sees things from an esthetics point of view, working together things made sense. The design and concept evolved over the 13 months it took to take a little carwash to the multi-environment restaurant/bar/patio/beer garden that opened in April 2012.

Urban Grub offers a feeling of coziness with its private cabanas and its many fire pits as well as the open air atmosphere in the beer garden with in-outdoor bar. All custom designs, there is something new and beautiful to be found around each corner.
