Position: Retail Stylist
Employment Type: Part Time
Position Overview: As a Retail Stylist at Uncommon James, you are a front-line revenue driver and brand ambassador. You play a critical role in delivering an elevated, results-driven shopping experience while consistently contributing to store sales goals and key performance metrics. Retail Stylists are expected to actively engage customers, build meaningful relationships, and convert traffic into sales through intentional selling, product knowledge, and elevated service.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, goal-oriented retail environment and is motivated by performance, growth, and results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales goals tied to key metrics such as:
- Units Per Transaction (UPT)
- Conversion
- Take ownership of personal performance results and actively work to improve metrics through coaching and feedback.
- Execute intentional selling behaviors including add-ons, cross-selling, and full-look styling.
Customer Experience
- Deliver an elevated, personalized customer experience aligned with the Uncommon James brand.
- Build strong client relationships through genuine connection, styling expertise, and follow-up.
- Confidently guide customers through product storytelling, benefits, and styling recommendations.
Product Knowledge & Styling
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of all product categories including jewelry, beauty, and seasonal launches.
- Offer curated styling suggestions that drive multiple-item purchases and repeat visits.
- Stay current on new arrivals, best sellers, and promotional priorities.
Visual & Operational Excellence
- Maintain store standards through daily merchandising, replenishment, and cleanliness.
- Support visual resets, product launches, and in-store activations.
- Assist with inventory-related tasks including restocking, transfers, and accuracy checks.
Team & Culture
- Contribute to a positive, high-performance team culture rooted in accountability and results.
- Actively participate in team meetings, contests, and sales challenges.
- Support Store Manager and leadership with day-to-day execution and business needs.
Brand Representation
- Represent Uncommon James with professionalism, confidence, and polished personal style.
- Uphold brand standards in appearance, behavior, and customer interaction at all times.
