Levy's Clothier for Men & Women in Nashville, TN is seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Buyerto be the driving force behind our product selection for our collections. This pivotal role requires a passion for luxury fashion, a keen eye for emerging trends, and strong analytical skills to ensure our inventory balances style, profitability, and the high-quality standards with a modern twist.

• Begin to develop and execute a comprehensive buying strategy for categories (that can include men's apparel, women's apparel, formal wear, made-to-measure, accessories, and furnishings) that aligns with our brand identity, historical performance, and customer base.
• Conduct in-depth market research, trend analysis, and competitive shopping to identify new designers, brands, private label when needed, and product opportunities. Prepare pricing matrixes.
• Work with our Open-to-Buy (OTB) consultant to create detailed merchandise assortment plans and budgets to maximize sales, margin, and inventory turnover.
• Establish and maintain strong, strategic relationships with domestic and international vendors, fabric makers, and suppliers.
• Negotiate favorable terms, costs, delivery schedules, and payment terms to ensure optimal profitability. Familiarity with buying office discounts.
• Prepare and enter in retail systems – in a timely manner – all purchase orders in areas assigned.
• Attend trade shows and market appointments as needed to source merchandise.
• Analyze sales data, inventory levels, and product performance reports with management and merchandising consultant to make data-driven purchasing and replenishment decisions.
• Monitor and manage inventory flow within established budgets to minimize stockouts and overstock situations, ensuring a continuous supply of key items.
• Collaborate with the accounting team on invoicing, budgeting, and cost management.
• Manage our Shopify integration for responsible departments and ensure products are properly listed and priced online.

• Partner with Lead Tailor to review garment construction to understand limitations that could impact sales.
• Partner closely with the Visual Merchandising and Sales teams to ensure product presentation and in-store displays maximize visibility and sales.
• Work with Marketing and Public Relations teams to plan and support product launches, online sales, promotions, and advertising campaigns.
• Provide essential product knowledge and training to the sales staff.
• Assist in difficult client issues.
• Maintain a client base of personal sales.
