Description
We are looking for a Part‑Time Retail Sales Associate (Pawnbroker) to join our team. Pay is $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, plus an easily achievable commission structure that rewards you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.01 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

As an entry‑level Part‑Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate, you will partner with the store staff to provide excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. You will greet, engage, and assist customers in a professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. You will work with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, and firearms where applicable.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items according to established procedures.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes the assigned training.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist a customer outside the store, such as in parking lots or exterior storage areas.
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to serve customers and work as part of a team.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2%–8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Applicants will receive detailed information about the commission incentive plan during the interview process.
