About Vanguard Cleaning Systems of Nashville
Vanguard Cleaning Systems of Nashville is a leading provider of commercial cleaning services across the greater Nashville market. We combine the backing of a nationally recognized brand with the culture and agility of a locally operated business. Our team is lean, hungry, and growing — and we invest in the people who drive that growth.
Who We're Looking ForWe're looking for a field sales hunter — someone who has earned their stripes in a structured sales environment (think Enterprise Holdings, Cintas, ADP, or Paychex), moved into B2B territory ownership, and is ready to bring that experience into a high-margin, relationship-driven industry.
Our top performers tend to follow a recognizable arc: they came up through rigorous sales training programs, built pipelines from scratch, earned management or revenue leadership responsibility, and now want a role with uncapped earning potential and a company they can grow with. If that sounds like you, keep reading.
Ideal BackgroundThe strongest candidates will bring:
- 7–10+ years of progressive B2B outside sales experience — you've carried a bag and closed deals
- Alumni of a structured, competitive sales training program:
Enterprise Holdings, Cintas, ADP, Paychex, Xerox, or equivalent - Management, territory ownership, or revenue leadership on your résumé — you've been trusted to run something
- A track record of self-generating leads, cold calling, and building a pipeline from zero
- Experience selling to a range of decision-makers: C‑Suite, Operations, and Facilities Management
- Nashville market ties or a genuine willingness to relocate before your start date
- Industry background in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, facilities management, or adjacent services (a plus, not a requirement)
As a Field Sales Representative, you’ll be the face of Vanguard in Nashville — building this territory from the ground up. That means two things: hunting for new business and stewarding the accounts and franchise relationships we already have. You’ll self-generate leads, close new commercial accounts, and serve as the primary relationship owner for existing clients and local franchise partners. This is a rare opportunity to build something — and grow with it.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Prospect and develop a territory through cold calls, site visits, and relationship-building
- Conduct discovery meetings and site assessments to build customized proposals
- Manage your full pipeline in Salesforce — from first contact through negotiation and close
- Collaborate with Business Development and Marketing to refine your approach
- Consistently exceed activity benchmarks and quarterly revenue targets
- Represent Vanguard’s brand and values in every client interaction
- Manage and grow an existing book of commercial accounts — retaining clients, deepening relationships, and identifying upsell opportunities
- Serve as the key point of contact for local franchise relationships — ensuring alignment, communication, and performance across your territory
- Own your territory — you’re not just filling a seat, you’re building a market presence that reflects directly on your reputation and your earning potential
This isn’t a lateral move — it’s a platform. You’re joining at a pivotal moment in Vanguard Nashville’s growth, which means the person who builds this territory well has a direct path to something bigger. Our leadership team has promoted from within at every level, and we expect this role to be no different.
What that looks like in practice:
- Uncapped commission — the more you build, the more you earn
- A clear path to Sales Management, Director of Operations, or revenue leadership — roles that already exist on our team and were earned from the field
- Franchise and market expansion opportunities as the Nashville territory matures
- Visibility with senior leadership from day one — you won’t be a number here
We pay competitively because we want the best. Top performers in this role earn $130,000–$155,000. Here's how it works:
- 401(k) with profit‑sharing options
- Paid Time Off and vacation
- All‑company bonus opportunities
These aren't wall decorations — they're how we operate every day:
- Be Honest. Integrity is non‑negotiable in every client and team interaction.
- Show Up. Reliability and commitment are how trust is built.
- Finish the Job. We see every commitment through to completion.
- Treat People as You Want to Be Treated. Respect and empathy drive everything we do.
