Position Summary

Special Event Sales Intern Special Events April High The Special Event Sales Intern will gain hands-on experience in venue sales, client relations, and event planning while supporting the Special Events Sales team. This internship offers exposure to the full sales process - from lead generation and client communication to proposal creation, site visits, contracting, and event execution. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about hospitality, sports, or live events.

This internship offers exposure to the full sales process - from lead generation and client communication to proposal creation, site visits, contracting, and event execution. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about hospitality, sports, or live events.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist the Sales team with daily administrative tasks.
  • Research prospective clients and qualify sales leads in Momentus.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, presentations, and other sales materials.
  • Assist with venue tours, client site visits, and follow-up communications.
  • Support event logistics before and during special events.
  • Assist with planning the MLS Special Events Conference Conduct market research and attend networking events, venue tours, and hotel visits to build industry relationships.
  • Assist with sales reporting, pipeline tracking, and data entry.
  • Collaborate with Catering, Event Management, Operations, Facilities, and Marketing teams.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality, Sports Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Professional, customer-focused, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation to GEODIS Park.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends based on event schedules.
