JOB SUMMARY
Build your sales experience with DEX in the Nashville market! As a Sales Canvasser, you’ll be on the front lines of our local growth efforts, connecting with businesses throughout the area and creating new opportunities for our sales team. You’ll identify prospective customers, engage key decision-makers, introduce DEX and our business technology solutions, and generate qualified leads for our sales pipeline.
This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, confident starting conversations, comfortable working independently in the field, and motivated by results. - Primary point of contact.
- Telephones prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
- Hands‑on involvement in a variety of marketing logistics, including quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers by phone.
- Prepares reports of business transactions and track all invoices and expense accounts against budget.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
- Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
- Coordinates customer training.
- Adheres to all safety precautions and follow all safety requirements to properly complete job tasks.
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned

- Job is not directly responsible for managing other employees.
- Position requires extremely perceptive person, who can relate to individuals at all levels. As unique situations present themselves, the incumbent must be sensitive to corporate needs and the public image.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software;
Spreadsheet software;
Order processing systems and Contact Management systems. - Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out‑of‑the‑area travel may be expected.
- Completes additional tasks and assignments as requested by Regional Sales Director.
- Bachelor's degree (B.
A.) from four‑year college or university. - One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
