The Inside Sales Engineer is a full-time, on-site position based in Nashville, TN. This role is responsible for supporting customers and the outside sales team by preparing accurate quotations, selecting appropriate products, and providing technical guidance on intelligent building solutions. Day-to-day tasks include responding to customer inquiries, reviewing project specifications, creating proposals, and following up on opportunities to help drive sales.
The Inside Sales Engineer will collaborate closely with operations and vendors to ensure timely order processing, pricing accuracy, and resolution of technical issues. This role also involves maintaining product knowledge, updating the CRM system, and contributing to a positive, customer-focused sales environment.
- Candidates should possess skills in Inside Sales and Sales to manage customer inquiries, build relationships, and support revenue growth.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quotations and Sales Engineering to interpret specifications, select products, and prepare detailed proposals.
- Candidates should possess skills in Technical Support to assist customers with product application, troubleshooting, and system compatibility questions.
- Working knowledge of building automation, HVAC controls, or related electrical/mechanical systems is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams and vendors, and to work on-site in Miami, FL on a full-time basis.
- Proficiency with standard office software and CRM tools; experience in distribution or manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in a technical sales role.
