We are seeking a motivated Regional Sales Manager to join our team in conveyor belt sales.
This position is designed for someone who is interested in building a long-term career in conveyor belt sales. Through structured training, hands-on customer experience, and ride-along opportunities with experienced Field Sales Representatives, you will progressively develop your product knowledge, customer relationship skills, and commercial expertise. The market you will manage currently has a $3.5 million plus portfolio.
The goal of this position is to prepare the successful candidate for advancement into a full Outside Sales role within approximately 6–18 months.
What You'll Do- Learn our product portfolio, applications, and value propositions.
- Manage the Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi markets, most business is in the Tennessee market.
- Develop an understanding of our customers, industries, markets, and competitive landscape.
- Learn how our products and solutions are positioned to solve customer problems.
- Participate in joint sales calls and ride-alongs with experienced Field Sales Representatives.
- Support account-management activities, including order follow-up, pricing support, and basic quoting.
- Assist with customer visits, site walk throughs, and needs assessments.
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate customer notes, activity logs, and pipeline information in our CRM.
- Assist with territory planning, opportunity tracking, and sales reporting.
- Learn pricing structures, margin fundamentals, and internal approval processes.
- Build the technical and commercial knowledge needed to succeed in a field-based sales career.
Required Qualifications
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in field-based outside sales.
- Ability and willingness to learn technical products and apply that knowledge in customer conversations.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally and regionally.

Your development program will have several stages, beginning with remote and hybrid sales-development responsibilities and expanding into hands-on field experience. You will gain exposure to:
- Technical product applications
- Territory development
- Quoting and pricing
- Sales strategy
- Customer needs assessment
- Field sales and account management
Physical Requirements
- Travel throughout the assigned territory.
- Regular interaction with customers and field sales personnel.
- Ability to use close vision and maintain focus when performing job duties.
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Required to sit, stand, bend at the knee and waist, and walk.
- Must be able to perform repetitive wrist, hand, and/or finger movements and demonstrate hand-eye coordination when using computers, telephones, and related office equipment.
- May occasionally be required to lift 25–60 pounds and lift, carry, push, pull, or move large objects.
