Opportunity

This position works out of our Valparaiso, IN territory within the Cancer Diagnostics business. Abbott's Cancer Diagnostics business was established through the acquisition of Exact Sciences', bringing together Abbott's global diagnostics leadership with Exact Sciences' expertise in cancer screening and diagnostic testing. Together, we're advancing the early detection of cancer and improving outcomes for patients through innovative, accessible testing solutions. Our combined portfolio and reach allow us to bring life‑changing diagnostic technology to more patients, providers, and health systems worldwide.

As a Screening Sales Representative, you'll play a frontline role in advancing colorectal cancer screening by partnering with healthcare providers to increase adoption of Cologuard® and other diagnostic solutions. You'll build trusted customer relationships, identify opportunities to improve patient care, and drive business growth through strategic account management, clinical education, and cross‑functional collaboration.

What You’ll Work On

Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to increase awareness, adoption, and utilization of Cologuard while achieving sales objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, healthcare administrators, and other key stakeholders by identifying unmet needs and delivering value‑based diagnostic solutions. Analyze local healthcare markets, customer data, and account insights to identify opportunities that improve patient outcomes and enhance the system of care.

Collaborate with cross‑functional partners including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Screening Advocates, Sales Operations, and Area Managers to implement customer‑specific business strategies and maximize account success. Accurately document customer interactions, sales activities, market intelligence, and pipeline development within CRM while maintaining the highest ethical, quality, and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Life Sciences, or a related field or four (4) years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Two (2) years of sales, inside sales, or account management experience OR one (1) year of sales experience plus one (1) year of healthcare‑related experience OR completion of active‑duty military service as a Junior Officer or above.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build credibility and influence customers.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Ability to travel daily throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel.
