** Senior Geologist in our Nashville, Tennessee office**.We have over 135 offices across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia and are approaching 3500 employees – all ready to provide solutions for environmental needs.
** A DAY IN THE LIFE
** You will work on a variety of complex project sites throughout the US with primary focus in Nashville. Key responsibilities for the position include the following:
* Perform site visits, data collection or assignments.
* Prepare reports, tables, maps, drawings, and visual aids to evaluate, plan and obtain regulatory approval on project recommendations.
* Implement technical requirements to complete client projects by directing field staff to sample, test and collect data and/or document site activities.
* Ability to establish and maintain long-term working relationships with clients
* Oversee proposals and business development activities.
* Lead and mentor junior staff members and work in collaborative team situations to solve problems and advance projects.
* Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards and project goals.
* Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops
* Perform other duties as assigned
** YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
** To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
* Bachelor’s degree in environmental-Related Science (Geology) from an accredited college or university or other related science field.
* Minimum 7 years of professional consulting experience, or combination of consulting and other relevant professional environmental experience.
* Possess or plan to possess a Professional Geologist (PG) license
* Experience with GIS is a plus.
* Valid driver’s license, ability to travel and obtain security clearance at federal installations.
* This position can be physically demanding and will require work in various working environments/conditions which requires that an individual be physically capable of canvassing large project areas by foot on various terrain and potentially in inclement weather
* Work environment will vary greatly depending on nature of assigned tasks
* Local travel up to 30%
