Sanitation Worker

We are seeking five dedicated sanitation workers to join a new GMP Food Production Plant in Nashville. As part of our Sanitation Team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Sanitize floors, belts, and machinery daily.
  • Conduct master sanitization of the dock, warehouse, dry mixer, wet mixer, and other areas.
  • Follow the 7 Steps of Sanitation meticulously every day.
  • Disassemble machinery for cleaning and cover sensitive electronics and switches.
  • Rinse equipment surfaces using warm potable water, ensuring all visible soil is removed.
  • Perform wet pick-up by shoveling, squeegeeing, and sweeping floor solids to a central area.
  • Apply detergent foam from bottom to top, ensuring complete coverage and scrubbing heavily soiled areas.
  • Post-rinse foam off equipment surfaces, inspecting and hand‑scrubbing as necessary.
  • Inspect equipment for cleanliness and ensure all food‑contact surfaces are free of soiling.
  • Sanitize and disinfect equipment thoroughly.
Essential Skills
  • Industrial sanitation experience.
  • Food production sanitation experience.
  • Knowledge of the 7 Steps of Sanitation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

We offer a range of benefits once permanent, including a $75 stipend for steel toe/composite footwear, medical, dental, and vision plans with no high deductible options, coverage starting on the first of the month, employees accrue 10 PTO days and 6 sick days, and are eligible for a 401K with a 100% match up to 4% after 90 days.

Work Environment

The work environment is a brand new GMP Food Production Plant with highly automated equipment. Initial training will occur from 11:30am to 8pm to allow you to see production in action. After the first two weeks, you will transition to the third shift, working from 11pm to 7am, Monday through Friday. Weekend work is voluntary and reserved for deep cleaning. The facility is climate‑controlled, with both AC and heat due to food and ingredient requirements.

Flexibility is essential as processes and shifts may change.
