Geologist needed for a contract to hire opportunity in Nashville, TN. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in geosciences and 10 years of experience in operations geology, mud logging, and geosteering. The candidate must have knowledge of conventional and unconventional petroleum resources and fundamental knowledge of petroleum geochemistry, sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology. Must have familiarity with petroleum basins in the USA.
Responsibilities include interpreting and integrating geological and geochemical data sets to maximize the impact of company deliverables, working closely with the software team and supporting users. Software proficiency in Tlog, Wellsight, Mainlog, Starsteer, and ArcGIS would be a plus.
** Will consider applicants with a master’s degree in geosciences and 5 years of experience in operations geology, mud logging, and geosteering.
This position will be in office, no remote option available.
