Location & CompensationBased primarily in Nashville, the role will involve site visits throughout the United States. The compensation range is $100,000 to $125,000 plus an annual bonus commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. Local travel is up to 30% of the total work time.
Key Responsibilities- Perform site visits, data collection, and related assignments.
- Prepare reports, tables, maps, drawings, and visual aids to evaluate, plan, and obtain regulatory approval on project recommendations.
- Implement technical requirements and direct field staff for sampling, testing, and data collection or site documentation.
- Establish and maintain long‑term working relationships with clients.
- Oversee proposals and business development activities.
- Lead and mentor junior staff members and collaborate with teams to solve problems and advance projects.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards and project goals.
- Keep up‑to‑date on industry trends through formal training, professional publications, and workshops.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental–Related Science (Geology) or a related scientific field from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of professional consulting experience, or a combination of consulting and other relevant professional environmental experience.
- Professional Geologist (PG) license
, or the intent to obtain one. - Experience with GIS is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license, ability to travel, and security clearance at federal installations.
The position can be physically demanding and requires working in various environments, including canvassing large project areas by foot on diverse terrain and potentially in inclement weather. Work environment and travel vary greatly depending on assigned tasks.
