QualificationsEducation and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's or higher of science or arts degree in environmental science, physical sciences (e.g. physics, chemistry, geology, meteorology), ecology, sustainability or applied science in sustainability, life sciences (e.g. biology, microbiology, agricultural science, agronomy, health physics, or biophysics), environmental health, pre-medicine, engineering or other acceptable science or natural resource related field and three years of full-time professional environmental program, natural resource conservation work or full-time professional work that involved ensuring compliance with radiation safety standards and/or regulations.
An acceptable environmental, physical, or life science degree will be considered based on assignment by the specific program area.
A bachelor's degree in health physics or nuclear engineering may substitute for one year of the required experience in the Division of Radiological Health.
Necessary Special Qualifications- Applicants for this class must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license at the time of appointment in some positions.

OverviewThis position supports the development and reporting of emissions data, assists with APC fee processes, and helps resolve delinquent emission fees in alignment with state and federal guidelines.
Responsibilities- Develop accurate and complete lists of emissions sources. Collect, evaluate, and report required emissions inventory data to the National Emissions inventory.
- Support the APC Annual Fee billing processes, including invoice development, Actual Emissions Analysis Required (AEAR) report reviews, delinquency tracking, and customer service while gaining a working knowledge of State and Federal air regulations.
- Resolve delinquent annual air emission fees according to the fee schedule and guidance.
