Vanderbiltistheleadinstitutionforaresearchconsortiumthatincludes Yale University ,the University of Lausanne, and the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa – each of which will be responsible for recruitment at their site. This position not only involves the recruitment activities but also offers a unique opportunity for extensive networking across these institutions. Reporting directly to the consortium PI, the Recruitment Coordinator is a full- time position collaborating with the Vanderbilt teamon a daily basis to achieve efficient and seamless lab functioning and ensure successful research participant experiences.
This position also provides general administrative and operational support to the research lab staff.
The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, scheduling, and hosting of research participants for this large project and serves as a primary point of contact between research participantsandtheirfamiliesandtheprojectteam.
The Recruitment Coordinatorwillworkwithin the University financial and reporting systems to meet administrative needs of the lab and the Principal Investigator. The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for collecting and organizing parent and teacher data and will provide occasional support to other members of the research team.
Manage recruitment,screening,scheduling,andretentioneffortsformultipleconcurrentlarge-scale research studies.
Administertelephoneand/oronlinescreeningsurveystopotentialparticipantsand/or families.
Determineseligibilityofprospectiveparticipants,assuringprospectiveparticipantsfulfill eligibility requirements. Proactively seeks supervisor input when necessary.
Managesrecruitmentplansandexecution.
Schedulesparticipantsforresearchactivities.
Conductsongoinginformedconsentprocess,ensuringthathumansubjectsandtheir families clearly understand what is expected of and from them in the course of participating in the research project.
Engagesin open communication withparticipantsandfamilies.
ManageparticipantvisitstoEBRLandcommunicatewithfamiliesregardingresearch procedures.
Support day-to-dayadministrativeneedsof theresearchlab.
Identifies and procuresequipmentandsuppliesneededtofulfillprojectrequirements.
Work within the university’s financial and reporting systems for lab needs (e.g., submission of purchaserequisitionsforlab supplies and research subject payments).
Manage Principal Investigator ’stravelitinerarypurchasesandreimbursements.
Manage Risk Management andProtectionof
Minorsdocumentationforlabemployees.Ensuresthatstudyspecimens(saliva) are collected,packaged,andshippedtothesponsor or laboratory in accordance with sponsor and shipping guidelines and regulations, maintaining appropriate documentation
Collaborativelyparticipatesinstudyteammeetings.
Maintainsopenandpositivecommunicationswith investigators, participants, co-workers, other departments,and sponsors.
Assistinothergeneraladministrativelabproceduresandmaintenance asneeded.
Collectandorganizepsychosocialdataobtainedfromresearchactivities.
Maintainresearchparticipantfilesandrecords.
Manage collection,scoring,&storageofpsychosocialparticipantdata.
Enterdatainto databases.
Under supervision,assist
Imaging
Teamwith research activitiesConductorattendmockMRIscanstoacclimatechildparticipanttotheMRIscanning environment.
Serve asa Scanner BuddyforrealMRIscanprocedures.
Thispositiondoesnothavesupervisoryresponsibility;thispositionreportsadministrativelyand functionally to Administrative Manager.
Education andCertifications:
Minimumof Bachelor’sdegree is necessary.
Degreewithinthefieldsof Psychology,Education,Neuroscience,orrelated field is preferred.
