Herschend is seeking a steadfast and discerning Safety & Security Supervisor to help lead our newest hospitality venture, Dolly Parton's Song Teller Hotel, located in the heart of Downtown Nashville. The Safety & Security Supervisor at Song Teller Hotel will assist in all aspects of safety, security, and emergency preparedness for Dolly Parton's Song Teller Hotel, featuring 245 guest rooms, two food & beverage entertainment venues, a market, and Dolly Parton's Museum. This role is responsible for creating an environment where guests and hosts feel genuinely safe, welcomed, and cared for.

From developing proactive safety strategies and leading daily security operations to preparing for high-profile activations, this leader ensures that safety is seamlessly integrated into every aspect of the guest and team member experience.

With a calm and discerning presence, the Safety & Security Supervisor understands that the most effective protection is often subtle, intentional, and service-driven. The position provides full oversight of all safety and security operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, financial accountability, and alignment with the hotel's brand expectations.

Summary of Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and ongoing management of comprehensive safety and security programs designed to protect guests, hosts, and hotel assets.

• Assist in leading and managing the security team, including recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure consistent 24/7 coverage.

• Conduct routine risk assessments, internal audits, and safety inspections across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces; identify vulnerabilities and ensure timely corrective action.

• Oversee accurate documentation, investigation, and follow-up of all incidents, including guest complaints, employee injuries, theft, disturbances, and property damage.

• Support the administration and resolution of guest claims, ensuring compliance with brand standards, legal requirements, and insurance protocols.

• Assist in managing emergency response and crisis management procedures, including fire life safety systems, evacuation protocols, and staff training (CPR, AED, First Aid).

• Serve as the acting leader of the department in the absence of the Director of Safety & Security, including functioning as the primary liaison with law enforcement and emergency services.

• Monitor and evaluate all security systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, access control, and key management; investigate irregularities and ensure proper escalation.
