Security Specialist - Lower Broadway, Nashville

Position Summary

The Security Specialist provides security and protection for guests, celebrities, VIPs, employees, and the properties. This role maintains crowd control, prevents theft, and discourages altercations in a high-volume environment. The Security Specialist works efficiently and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior guest service. This is a non‑tip eligible position as security hosts are not allowed to receive gratuities from guests.

Shift availability:
Thursday–Sunday.

Work involves varied shifts to include weekends and holidays.

• Assist in the safe removal of guests from the venue as requested by authorized personnel
• Respond to and assist in all emergencies
• Lead by example and accept direction, modifying duties as needed during a shift
• Maintain an open, objective view and communicate assertively with employees and guests

• Have a working knowledge of state and local laws concerning security and operation of day‑life/nightclub venues

• Nightclub, bar, lounge, and/or restaurant environment with constant public contact
• Work may be performed in small areas and varying conditions of noise level, temperature, lighting, and air quality
• Must work both inside and outside during all times of the year as needed based on business volumes
• Work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise and crowds, depending on guest volume

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• 21+ years of age
• Possession of or ability to obtain all state‑required work cards
• Maintain a professional, neat, and well‑groomed appearance
• Typical work area may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, etc.
• Tasks may be performed from both non‑sitting and sitting positions
• Constant contact with guests and fellow team members is required
• Schedule could exceed 30 hours per week and may include overtime when approved by management
• Work varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Exposure to day‑life/nightlife environmental factors such as second‑hand smoke, excessive noise, flashing/strobe lights, wet floors, and stress related to fast‑paced guest interaction
