Security Manager responsible for the overall management of the security department, ensuring the safety of guests, employees, artists, and the venue. The role reports to the Operations Manager and oversees security staff deployment on the day of show, develops and enforces venue security policies, and maintains a secure and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities- Work with the General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure compliance with security policies, local, state, and federal laws.
- Monitor and authorize entry and exit of employees, visitors, and other persons to prevent theft and maintain premises security.
- Provide visual surveillance throughout the venue, taking corrective action when needed and improving practices.
- Investigate and resolve security complaints and incidents.
- Interact positively with guests while preserving order and protecting property.
- Write daily activity reports, noting equipment or property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences.
- Recruit, interview, train, supervise, counsel, and discipline security staff.
- Collaborate with other department leads to support the venue leadership team.
- Organize meetings, communicate pertinent information, and schedule staff assignments.
- Review and evaluate department performance, recommending and implementing new operational policies when necessary.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar security role.
- Must obtain and maintain a Tennessee Unarmed Security Guard Registration (“Guard Card”).
- Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and enforcement procedures.
- Strong strategic thinking, creative problem‑solving skills, and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
- Acute sense of judgment, tact, diplomacy, and teamwork.
- Physical ability to walk, climb stairs, lift and carry 50 lbs. or more, and occasionally sit.
