- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, common areas, and restricted locations to help to deter unauthorized access, assist with visitor directions, and support security-related policies and procedures.
- Assist with de-escalation of tense situations, provide reassurance and information to the public, and communicate with staff and/or first responders during medical and non-medical incidents as needed.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
