Physical Security Team Manager

At Blue Oval SK, we lead the transformation of the electric vehicle (EV) battery business through a joint venture between Ford and SK On, building batteries that enable electric vehicle excellence and enhance customer experience.

• Lead and mentor a team of physical security specialists and other security personnel.
• Develop and implement advanced security strategies and policies, including data leak prevention measures.
• Oversee large‑scale security projects with budget management and timeline adherence.
• Conduct complex security risk and threat assessments and develop mitigation strategies for high‑level scenarios.
• Collaborate with senior management, external agencies, and stakeholders on security matters.
• Lead response to significant security incidents and conduct thorough investigations using tools such as CCTV and access control.
• Ensure physical security control so all employees, contractors, and visitors are safe.
• Manage guard contract establishment and guardhouse operations.
• Complete complex documentation and report writing, including RFPs, policies, and procedures.
• Manage penetration testing program and develop/assess security procedures, including data leak prevention measures.
• Conduct physical security and risk vulnerability inspections, evaluate designs, and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Interview and recommend hiring of Physical Security Specialists as necessary.

• 6+ years of experience in factory/distribution center security or similar industry‑based environment.
• Experience with camera and access control systems.
• Experience managing security teams.
• Ability to build partnerships and influence stakeholders.
• Familiarity with multiple aspects of physical security.
• In‑depth knowledge of physical security principles, emerging threats, and advanced security technologies.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Capacity to develop and implement comprehensive security strategies.
• Background in law enforcement or military preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Security‑based certification (e.g., Wicklander‑Zulawski, CPP, PSP, CISSP) a plus.
• Security experience in electric vehicle battery manufacturing a plus.
