Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with appropriate personnel and/or first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and activity across the location to help to deter unauthorized entry, support visitor direction, and report maintenance, environmental, and security-related concerns.
Support a professional presence in a fast-paced care environment by providing assistance with way finding, de-escalating tense situations when appropriate, and following post orders and emergency protocols.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
