** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, equipment yards, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.

+ Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles entering restricted operational areas.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public emergency services as directed by post orders.

+ Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.

+ A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Access control and badge experience is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
