Boiler Service Technician
Location: Nashville, TN Job Type: Full-Time
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Boiler Technician to join our mechanical contracting team. In this role, you will be the technical lead on-site, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and emergency repair of commercial and industrial heating systems. From high-pressure steam boilers to high-efficiency condensing units, you will ensure our clients' systems operate at peak performance while adhering to all municipal and state safety codes.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and complex repairs on water-tube, fire-tube, and cast-iron boilers.
- Diagnostics: Utilize advanced combustion analyzers and digital controls to troubleshoot burner performance and efficiency issues.
- Installation: Read and interpret blueprints and piping schematics to install new boiler systems, including pumps, valves, and venting.
- Water Chemistry: Test boiler water quality and manage chemical treatment systems to prevent corrosion and scale buildup.
- Compliance: Maintain meticulous logs of all services performed and ensure systems meet ASME and local jurisdictional requirements.
- Emergency Response: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 emergency support for critical facilities (hospitals, schools, industrial plants).

Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial/industrial boiler service.
- Licensing: Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean record.
- Technical
Skills:- Experience with burner management systems.
- Strong knowledge of gas, oil, and dual-fuel firing systems.
- Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams and ladder logic.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and climb ladders or scaffolding as needed.
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
- ASME welding certification or pipe fitting experience.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Safety Training.
- Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) integration.
