Job Description
Perform flux core welding on mild steel to construct barges. Utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques and translate blueprints into finished products while collaborating with a team under supervision.
Responsibilities- Execute flux core welding on mild steel for barge construction.
- Utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques effectively.
- Interpret and work from blueprints to ensure precise fabrication.
- Collaborate with a team and work under a supervisor to meet project goals.

Skills & Qualifications
- Previous welding experience ranging from 3 to 6 months
- Competence in fitting, stainless steel, stick welding, carbon steel, and structural steel
Join a team where your welding skills are honed through hands‑on experience and training, including a two‑week onsite weld school. Work in a supportive environment that values teamwork and skill development.
Work EnvironmentThe work is conducted outdoors, which can be very hot. Safety is a priority, requiring steel‑toed ankle‑high leather boots, long sleeves, and pants. It is crucial to avoid wearing contacts due to smoke exposure. The position is on 2nd shift from Mon‑Fri 3:15pm-12:45am.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.30 - $21.30/hr.
