Welder's Needed on 2nd Shift!

Job Description

Perform flux core welding on mild steel to construct barges. Utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques and translate blueprints into finished products while collaborating with a team under supervision.

• Execute flux core welding on mild steel for barge construction.
• Utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques effectively.
• Interpret and work from blueprints to ensure precise fabrication.
• Collaborate with a team and work under a supervisor to meet project goals.

• Previous welding experience ranging from 3 to 6 months
• Competence in fitting, stainless steel, stick welding, carbon steel, and structural steel

Join a team where your welding skills are honed through hands‑on experience and training, including a two‑week onsite weld school. Work in a supportive environment that values teamwork and skill development.

The work is conducted outdoors, which can be very hot. Safety is a priority, requiring steel‑toed ankle‑high leather boots, long sleeves, and pants. It is crucial to avoid wearing contacts due to smoke exposure. The position is on 2nd shift from Mon‑Fri 3:15pm-12:45am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

The pay range for this position is $20.30 - $21.30/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Nashville, TN.
