OverviewMcCloskey Mechanical is seeking a highly experienced HVAC/R Technician with specialized expertise in Commercial Refrigeration Systems, Rack Refrigeration, and Glycol Chiller Systems.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of mechanical system diagnosis, troubleshooting, and installation across Commercial, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, and Institutional sectors.
This position requires a technically proficient individual who can operate independently, respond with urgency to complex challenges, and maintain a high standard of safety, reliability, and workmanship.

- Diagnose and repair Commercial Refrigeration Systems, Rack Refrigeration, and Glycol Chiller Systems.
- Perform installations, startups, and retrofits of commercial/industrial HVAC and boiler equipment
- Troubleshoot and service HVAC/R systems, including DX systems, chillers, AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, BMS/BAS controls, and related components
- Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, control wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications
- Ensure compliance with all local codes, safety regulations, and internal quality standards
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and documentation in accordance with company protocols.
- Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in Commercial, Industrial, or Institutional HVAC/R and boiler service
- Strong proficiency in combustion analysis, control logic, hydronic system design, and steam principles
- Valid EPA certification (Type II or Universal)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Solid understanding of building automation systems (BAS/BMS) and control integration
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently or as part of a technical team
