The position is located in Tennessee and Kentucky markets. Frequent travel and driving company owned vehicles may be required. Non-local candidates must understand that Betacom does not cover relocation costs.

Specific qualifications & requirements include:

• Minimum 1-3 years of tower climbing experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License & Clean Driving Record
• OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid and RF Awareness certificate
• Must be COMTRAIN, PIM, SWEEP, and FIBER certified
• Computer literacy with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro‑mechanical equipment
• Experience with Anritsu Site Master, Andrew, PPC, tower mapping & antenna equipment
• Experience in RF Awareness, replacement, and maintenance of coax, jumpers, TMA connectors, and weatherproofing
• Highly organized with ability to provide verbal and written reports to upper management
• MUST BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE OUT OF TOWN TRAVEL if required

• Climb and work on communication towers to install, replace, and repair antenna systems equipment.
• Use and care hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Complete required daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
• Understand hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working near energized lines and equipment.
• Climb tall structures (100+ ft) with a 50 lb load.
• Analyze situations and adopt appropriate course of action.
• Communicate orally and in writing.
• Follow instructions accurately and complete assigned tasks.
• Recognize safety hazards and perform duties in a safe manner.
• Maintain clean, orderly environment adhering to company policies and OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of custom tower rigging techniques.
• Proficient with topside testing procedures (sweeps, PIM, fiber testing).
• Proficient with installation of antennas, RRH’s, ground kits, RET systems.
• Troubleshoot RET systems.
• Run required lines to the top of the tower, ground coax lines, and build different sizes and types of connectors.
• Stack tower steel and install sector mounts.
• Basic knowledge of microwave dish and radio installations and path alignment.
• Train lower-level tower technicians.
• Complete closeout packages according to field requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
