About the Position

The Foreman 2 works out of Stansell Electric’s Nashville office, assisting in all aspects of supervise and coordinate assigned crew(s) and subordinate supervision in all aspects of installation, alteration, demolition, maintenance and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, assemblies, and associated materials and equipment on all type of projects within the electrical construction industry. The Foreman 2 must show the mechanical aptitude, mathematical skills, and literacy skills commensurate to the satisfactory completion of position’s primary duties and responsibilities.

How You’ll Make a Difference

1.Supervise projects valued at $ to $1,.

2.Meet or exceed project schedules, productivity standards, and monetary budgets.

3.Has strong expertise in all aspects of trade related materials, components, equipment, systems, methods of installations, safety procedures, safe work practices, trade related calculations, blueprint and drawing interpretation, and trouble shooting.

4.Operates any hand tools, power tools, and equipment necessary to perform all trade associated

5.Effectively communicates and interfaces with peers, crew, project supervision, and General Contractor.

6.Coordinates work and activities with the Project Manager, General Contractor, customer, and other trades.

7.Forecasts and orders manpower, material, tool, and equipment needs well in advance to assure that the proper tools/equipment, materials, information manpower, and other requirements are on the project when needed.

8.Proceeds with work via written and verbal instructions, plans, drawings, or specifications.

9.Directly responsible for the supervision and management of all employees and supervision under his/her jurisdiction.

10.Lays out and schedules work for subordinate supervision, lead persons, and crew as needed.

11.Correctly fulfills, in a timely manner, administrative requirements and documentation such as time sheets, labor coding, daily logs, material and tool requisitions, man loading schedules, reports (i.e. incident/injury, employee notifications, etc.).

12.Monitors labor productivity, Quality Control, and directs subordinate supervision and crews in such a manner so as to meet project schedules and production quotas.

13.Coordinate and manages equipment rentals.

14.Identifies, schedules, and facilitates all needed inspections.

15.Prepares detail drawings for job as needed.

16.Instructs assigned employees in the correct operation of tools and equipment, safe work practices, electrical principles, and applicable NEC.

17.Evaluate employees under his/her supervision.

18.Performs disciplinary actions, procedures, and documentation.
